This isn't a real elaborate place but it has some very nice and varied displays. It's inexpensive and a nice way to spend an hour or two just to get an idea about the history of the area. The high school project was very nice.

The building itself is neat, a turn of the 20th century library, and it's located in the historic rough-and-tumble saloon and bawdy house area of Billings. The exhibits are kind of sparse. Still not a bad way to pass a few minutes.

This building was formerly used as a library. Now, as a heritage museum, depicts life centuries ago in Billings. Lots of fascinating information and details for the visitor. A must attraction while in Billings.

The Western Heritage Center is located in a historic library building on Montana Avenue, a street that also includes many of Billings' other historic buildings. We were pleasantly surprised by the Center. Upon entry it appears much like "old-fashioned" static museums that have exhibits in...More

Great stop to learn local history, and appreciate a great old building repurposed. I found the exhibits to be really nice and many are interactive in certain areas, making it a great place to take the kids.

This is a museum housed in the library I grew up with. The exhibitions change, but it is great place to get a sense of the history of the Billings area
