Swan Lake runs parallel to the Swan Mountains, right at their foothills, providing an amazing panoramic backdrop. It is mostly populated by private homes, keeping the commercial activity down, and boat traffic was shockingly light on a holiday weekend. There are indeed some shallows, particularly...More

This is a beautiful quiet lake in northern Montana. The water is calm and clean and great for water skiing in the morning. There is often a good wind for sailing a small and portable craft. There are homes around the lake, most of which...More

The National Forest campground here was closing up for the winter, but we stopped by the lakefront boat launch to enjoy the scenery and drove through the beautifully wooded campground across the street. The views are worth the drive

The scenery is beautiful and the water is so clean. It was very quite the two days we went there, much quieter than flathead lake.

Great for the outdoorsy person, all the lakes int he bog fork area are terrific. Go fish, swim or just lay around the lakes and you will come away refreshed.

Best lake around - very clean, warmer than Flathead, and not to much traffic. Just keep in a secret so that it doesn't get too busy... :)
