Really enjoyed this beach, especially the smaller more private part. Some good restaurants in the area and generally it has a good vibe

Ksamil is a lively and vibrant holiday town with all kinds of accommodations, restaurants, bars and cafes. The people are honest, friendly and helpful. The beaches are well situated with affordable beach beds, and great service. The views are amazing and all the scenic hotspots are close by. I recommend Albania tours for a sunset trip to the blue eye lake and sunset at lekturezi castle. Ledjon, our tour guide is a great guide and helpful person

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS
I nearly cancelled our family holiday 4 days b4 travelling cause of all the bad reviews and was going to stay in Corfu. I'm so glad we didn't.
I've just got back from spending the week at ksamil we stayed in the bay of Bella Vista, there are plenty of beach bays to choose from but we opted here for our weeks stay as we were low season 4 beds with umbrella were 2000 lek and yes high season the price will go up but isn't this the case any where in Europe??? The guys on the beach were super friendly, and we had bar service, so we didn't even have to get up and get our own drinks.
The beaches are beautiful and stunning, although not every bay will have powdery white sand, and some are like small pea shingle. Sorry people, what are you expecting? This is still Europe. If you want all inclusive don't go but if you want to be open minded and explore then go the whole week we were there we all felt completely safe especially when our 2 teenage daughters wanted a little wonder to the shops
The people were friendly restaurants plenty of them, prices were cheap £6 euro for 1 litre of wine average price for a family meal with alcohol was mainly always under 50 euro and I know you certainly wouldn't get this anywhere else in Europe
We were told may and June is low season, so probably best to visit then as with all holiday destinations july and Aug does get super busy and prices to get hiked up. I'm so glad we didn't cancel our holiday as with Corfu on our return was way too busy full of brits with over hiked prices
My suggestion would be to visit ksamil now b4 all the brits and tourists ruin this hidden Gem 💎

Man made beaches that you can’t access without paying for a sumner, which is expensive. We went out of high season and we didn’t haven’t to worry about how busy it gets but I think in summer it will be full of loud music, loud people and expensive drinks. It was technically very pretty but it was also soulless.

The water is a unique colour, and it looks as nice as on the photos. It was worth visiting, I went out of season so it was much quieter.

Water is amazing . The rest is highly overpriced . Sunbeds around 20 euro per 2 . You cannot just sit there on your own towel. Small 330ml beer - 4 euro . Mattress on the sunbeds in terrible condition. If Albania planning to be one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe ( here is a big potential) they shouldn't overcharge tourists and care more of them because you.can easily go to Spain Italy or Greece for the same prices

The reason why you see so many mixed reviews is because this beach is both incredibly beautiful with crystal clear waters, nice sand, amazing views. And also filled with scammy people ready to mess you around.
You just have to kind of get over the second bit.

Sunbeds are about €40 for 2 on the main Poda beach but €15 for 2 if you go up a bit, which seems about average for albania.
The beach bars will charge whatever they like that day, prices change depending on their mood and people on the whole aren't friendly by European standards at least.
However there's a great crepe place with a super friendly guy where you can get €3 beers, 5€ crepes, another place with €1 ice creams and cheap €5 gyros, poda hotel staff are super friendly.
The waters are crystal-clear and the views are really beautiful.

I think here its frustrating that you're always trying to avoid being scammed, but if you can ignore this and try to hit some of the cheaper places then its really a wonderful beautiful beach that can be a lot of fun.

BEAUTIFUL. The water is crystal clear and pretty warm, chairs didn’t cost too much, and even though there were lots of people there it didn’t feel overwhelming or really packed. It’s just a really beautiful place and a must see while in Sarandë!!
