The road to get to this wildlife refuge is not paved so proceed with caution. You can't see the lake from the road but it's a fairly short walk away. Glad to see we're preserving these areas. Quite, very isolated, and peaceful.

If you like outdoor areas, this is one of the nicest drives. There is an interpretive center at the headquarters.
