This place was great. You go underground and view the beautiful caverns. The tour guide do give you some great history on what they were originally used for. And allows time to stop for photos as certain spots. There is a lot of walking, and some steep inclines. The show at the end in the cavern "theater" is the best... More

First, for the four of us to go was $70 I think. If you've never been to a cave is neat I suppose. However there is very little Special about this cave if you've been to others. Tour is short (a little over an hour and part of that time you are walking back over the same path you had... More

Second visit in 3 decades but not much different. Certainly feel the $20+ admission is too high. Guests should know they will be walking more than a mile and that there is one flight of 58 steps. No tight squeeze passages but some low ceilings. Knowledgeable guides.

Unfortunately we didn't have time to do a full tour of the cavern. If you visit you need to give yourself a few hours. Tours weren't cheap. What we saw of the cavern and the history it seemed interesting. There is a restaurant on site for food.

Driving from Chicago to Tulsa, we stopped at the caverns on a whim and it was SUCH a great decision! I have an 11 year old girl and 9 year old boy and they were in complete awe! (I was too!) Definitely make sure you go to the bathroom before starting the tour, tho :) our tour guide Jeremy was... More

Pack a picnic and have a great day trip with the kids one sunny day. I budgeted $200 for the cavern experience. We got a deal for two on the zipline with an internet coupon. Two on the boat tour of the Meramec River. Paid entry fee for four people for the fabulous tour. Amazing! Worth it just to be... More

Sadly we didn't have time to do this attraction justice as we were covering the entirety of Route 66 and had to continue our journey. Having said that this is an amazing place and not to be missed.

This cavern was about 1 hour away from St Louis and it seemed to have more employees than visitors. The place is owned privately not by a park service although the employees uniform mimic that of a park ranger. The young lady who was our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable but there were few cave formations to see. Also... More

Not only very informative but very safe so therefore great to take young children. Jerry took good care and we appreciated his great sense of humour. The gift shop is well stocked catering for all taste, I recommend that you try the homemade fudge.

We were looking for some interesting places what could open a nature's creation in a whole beauty . I have seen on my own eyes what are that stalactites and stalagmites and Dolomites at last and as this process is ...on the weak ground rocks ... i had never any caver's excursion before so it was first and I really...
