Springfield's most enchanting events venue offering history tours, ghost tours, murder mysteries, holiday events, private rentals. Must attend a scheduled event to visit the castle. Go to the website for schedule and to make reservations or click Book Now on this site. Please note, general hours of operation on this site are incorrect. Trip Advisor format is unable to show event start times other than through Viator Book Now button. We are trying to work with them to correct this issue. Since it requires a system change on their part, it will take a while. Please check the website, come to a scheduled event, pay the entrance fee; otherwise, you will not be able to visit the castle. Fee varies depending on the event. Discount for on-line reservations. Higher if paid at the time of arrival.

Only took the first floor tour because can not do stairs. You have to schedule in advance as its a closed road next to government facilities. Park in side lot to avoid most stairs... not sure if they have a wheelchair access. Cost was reasonable......More

We met one of the owners at the Castle... we had come during closed hours, so I suppose we shouldn't have been there, but since we didn't know any better, we just walked up and asked if we may look through the Castle. Suddenly, the...More

We found this place by accident but love ghost tours so it was a nice surprise. They just so happen to have a tour available while we were in town. We had about 8 people and the tour guide Courtney did an amazing job. When...More

We like to take visitors to see the Castle. A unique piece of local history. Tour is interesting and a lot of pictures of early Springfield and WWII hospital are displayed. History as an ophanage, entertainment venue and service for POW's will interest all history...More

Very interesting tour. We did the ghost tour and our guide added in the history of the Castle. It would have been nice to have a more personal tour with fewer people and to see more of the castle, but we did see two floors...More

We learned a lot of the history of the Knights of Python. It was really confusing how to find the entrance and someone was standing at the end of the driveway with a flash light, which seems dangerous to me. They took debit and credit...More

Grandkids really wanted to see the castle but no where in my findings did it say you could only see it on a tour and that it was in the middle of a military base so it could only be seen from the city street.....More

Beautiful outside, disappointing interior, interesting history. The ghost tour was good, however the tour guide was kind of rude. Tried to stay back to get the crowd out of shots and she would turn the lights out or tell us she was going to shut...More

The castle has been restored and was fascinating to tour through. The history is varied and you learn quite a bit from the mother and daughter team who own it and restored it. It's a hidden treasure you should make the time to see.

Actually, October is very busy tour time here and likely to have a tour minimum met. But, you do have to take a tour or attend an event to get on-site.
