Lots of places closed and many things have changed, it kind of like the show where they show places before and after. It's reconstruction at its best but you can see the old in with the new.

Looks like a cute place to visit but after following the incorrect trip advisor map. Getting lost and finally finding downtown only to find everything closed at 10:00 on Sunday. Usually tourist attractions are open on weekends so was surprised nothing was.

this is the place to go in August. Farmers markets everywhere. The best watermelon we have ever ate.

This municipality has done a stellar job of restoring & maintaining the brick streets, downtown. The train station is a stellar centerpiece of the old town. Being Sunday, we didn't find much activity, but we enjoyed strolling around the area. We found a great breakfast, at a downtown place.

One thing I have noticed as we are travelling in this area is that every small town seems to have a "historic downtown." I am never sure what to expect, but when we have time we stop just to see what's being offered. Sikeston has done a nice job of renovating the small area, but there is really not a... More

Not much to see, one vintage store was open, the other was closed. We did walk part of the historic house tour and it was good. Some great looking old , big homes.
