The Fabulous Fox Theatre first opened in 1929 as a movie palace in William Fox's motion picture empire. The theatre was reopened in 1982, and today it is one of the most exquisite venues in the country to enjoy live touring Broadway shows, concerts, and comedians. We hope you'll visit us for an upcoming show or one of our guided tours!

The interior design on this 1929 theater is over the top to say the least. We saw Bodyguard with rush night of tickets. Go to box office at 5PM day of. The tickets are $20,$30, or $40. We did the $40 and not disappointed

We took the 10:30 am tour of the "Fabulous Fox" Theater. This theater was built in 1927 and fell on hard times before closing in the 1970's. It was a shambles but was lovingly restored and now hosts broadway shows. There was a matinee show...More

This theater is beautiful. There are many good seats to choose from. Staff/volunteers are very helpful. There is no coat check but there is a brand new parking garage right across the street. It is well lit, guarded, patrolled and easily accessible.

Experience what it was like back in the days of GRAND theatres. The Fox in St. Louis is a wonderful venue for live theatre and puts on splendid performances. The 2017/2018 broadway series just started with The Bodyguard. Magnificant voices, staging - the works! A...More

I love the place. I wish I could be up there with the cast. Dave Ivan would love to see that. I admit that Les Miserables was hard to see because it was so dark.

The Fox Theatre in St. Louis is one of the city's most historic and treasured assets. It opened as a movie house in 1929 and is a twin to the Fox Theatre in Detroit that opened one year earlier. While the exteriors of the two...More

We opted for the guided tour of this beautifully ornate building. It's difficult to explain the incredible attention to detail throughout the building. Since there wasn't a performance going on at the time we were there, we got to see all of the backstage spaces....More

This is a wonderful place to attend a concert, view a theatrical show or witness a standup performance. It's old time charm (originally opened as part of the Fox Movie chain in 1929), is still kept vibrant. Restored in the 1980s, and expanded in the...More

I think if someone is over 300 pounds, they would be uncomfortable. However, there are areas in the balcony seated at tables and other special seating available that might be a bit more comfortable.

This theater, while having better than average acoustics (red velvet everywhere), is very deep. You are smart to ask the question because it is easy to be disappointed with your tickets. There is a seating chart in... More
