About
The Shrine is a beautifully retored 19th century Catholic church. St Joseph was built for German immigrants and staffed by Jesuit priests. We offer a Catholic mass every Sunday at 11am and a tour of the church follows each mass.

I attended Sunday Mass here. The people were so friendly! One of the volunteers gave us a tour of the church after mass and invited us to stay for their (free) festival that afternoon as well. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to stick around, but...More

We were passing through and this church popped up. We found it easy enough just off interstate. Church was closed when we got there. But the courtyard offered a great place for reflection. Also to stretch our legs. Worth your time. I do wish we...More

Stopped in and lucked into a private tour. Our docent was wonderfully knowledgeable about the church's history. Beautifully restored...a must see!

This is a very fine art and build work back in days. very nicely placed tiles and beautifully build church. It must have taken a long time to design and build this building. Its a must see when you are in St. Louis, MO

Very quaint historical church. Easy to get to from the Arch. We had a few min between Arch and boat trip. Sweet little church. Glad we stopped here.

A group of us attended Palm Sunday Mass. Following the Mass, we went on the docent-led tour. We had about 20 in our group. The docent was fabulous; very knowledgeable. The church is amazing. We were also able to see the rectory next door.

Definitely recommend you visit. It is a beautiful Catholic Church and Shrine. It's not in the best neighborhood, and parking is on the street - FYI. The art and decor is incredible.

We came to the shrine on a wim to view this beautiful church. The church inside and out was very spectacular to view. The altar was very spectacular. If you're in the area of the church it is well worth to stop in and see it.
