From previous experience we knew Laclede's Landing was kind of a failed tourist experiment, but we thought we would see if things had improved. They hadn't.....disappointed again. This is part of the historic area of St. Louis at the foot of the Eads Bridge. Cobblestone and brick streets and preserved buildings.....but nothing really there to do or see.

I love walking areas with charming architecture and river views. Love to go in the shops and restaurants, cafes and bars. During the day, at least, only two restaurants were open and the streets were like a deserted town. Lovely architecture and cobble stone streets and path along the river. No people, no shops, very disappointing. Maybe it gets better... More

A must stop while in St. Louis ! Beautiful and historical buildings and cobbled streets make this a beautiful stop in St. Louis. Mostly bars and restaurants there- but the historical ambience was beautiful! Even got some awesome views of Gateway Arch from here. All for free!😄

We stopped at Laclede's Landing so that I could take a few pictures of the old bridges, water way, and the brick streets. We stopped 9:00a and the establishments were not open. Worth the stop if you like to take pictures.

Altho there were a couple of things here that were interesting, for the most part it just looks like businesses are closing and moving out. Im not sure how it would be down here at night but seemed like there was a lot of garbage etc in the neighborhood. Was really disappointed when i got here as I thought it... More

We walked down to check out Laclede's Landing on a recent family weekend in Saint Louis. We were on the search for ice cream for our daughters. There's not much there. Most of the buildings are vacant. There are a few restaurants but it's not worth the walk, especially if you have young ones in tow. The area has potential... More

I love spending time at Laclede's Landing....They have awesome stores to shop at, Nice Restaurants with both inside and outside dining options. And if you love to people watch as much as I do this is the place to go. You can ride a horse drawn carriage and take a ride, which I love doing. They are a little pricey... More

We had a horrible experience here on a Saturday afternoon at 1pm in late April. In broad daylight, our van was broken into in front of people! It was literally a "gone in 60 seconds" scenario. A gang drilled out our keyset while we had lunch 5 car lengths away but on the opposite/driver side. They drilled out the passenger... More

Laclede's landing was a nice walk through old St. Louis. There are a few restaurants there and a nice view of some older bridges. The streets are cobblestone and the street names and on plaques in the concrete. It's a lovely area. There isn't much to do over there, but it could be a really busy, happening spot if a... More

Back in the 1970's, I was Musical Director on the long-gone Goldenrod Showboat. I know the St. Louis levee well and was looking forward to revisiting it after 40 years. First, it is almost impossible to get near the river these days because of new construction. And Laclede's Landing, which they have been trying to develop since about 1974 was... More
