Grandkids love horses so we headed to Laclede's Landing. Horse and carriage were from Brookhill Farms. Kids loved it. Disappointed with the lack of businesses in the area.

We went to the 1st Mississippi Nights Music fest. Firday night had one outdoor stage with free bands, Saturday, the street was gated off and cost $10 each for 3 stages, 2 indoors, one outside. The music was really good (except one punk band), but...More

This place could be cool & interesting because of the history (supposedly where the founder of St Louis first landed on shore) but it died not live up to the hype. The streets are old brick & narrow & the buildings look interesting but it's...More

This is a very historical area and it looks neat. Even the roads are made of old brick. There just wasn't that much to do there. Maybe if we had been there in the evening time instead of mid-morning, but the place was almost deserted.

I love walking areas with charming architecture and river views. Love to go in the shops and restaurants, cafes and bars. During the day, at least, only two restaurants were open and the streets were like a deserted town. Lovely architecture and cobble stone streets...More

We stopped at Laclede's Landing so that I could take a few pictures of the old bridges, water way, and the brick streets. We stopped 9:00a and the establishments were not open. Worth the stop if you like to take pictures.
