Forest Park is my favourite place to go for a picnic. Even on the hottest St. Louis summer day (105 in the shade!) the Grand Basin at the foot of Art Hill provides a cool breeze and the large trees provide ample shade. When you're done, you can bike or jog their gravel trails or visit a FREE attraction, including... More

Not only is St. Louis' Forest Park 500 acres larger than New York's Central Park, I would challenge anyone who claimed that Central Park is more beautiful or that it has any more to offer than Forest Park. The park itself is absolutely stunning and incredibly well maintained. It features innumerable beautiful natural habitats, architectural and historic points of interest,... More

Yes, that's right. Forest Park is larger than Central Park in New York City and it is filled with special attractions -- St. Louis Art Musem, St. Louis Zoo, Missouri History Museum to name the biggest ones. You can easily spend a full day (or more) here. There are several dining spots or pack a picnic lunch to have along... More

We visited on a beautiful warm early march day. The park is huge with lots to see and do and is clean and well maintained. Finding parking was a challenge on our weekend visit but that was to be expected on a sunny Saturday. Great find.

One of the best city parks in our country. Large, many open areas and lots to do. We love the history museum and the St Louis zoo is one of the best. Golf, hiking and all types of sports. Perfect.

You can't go to St. Louis without a trip to Forest Park. There's so much to see and do and while you're there be sure to eat at the Boathouse restaurant in Forest Park - most delicious food we had while we were there. All of the museums in Forest Park are free and they are amazing!

It's a pretty nice park, contains other attractions so worth a trip. It has had it's share of issues but overall is safe.

Plenty to see and do in this enormous park. Museums/golf/zoo etc. tons of open space. Only thing missing would be a few good dining destinations but absolutely a must see
