Overview
More
Soulard Market is the oldest farmers market west of the Mississippi established in 1779 and is open Wednesday-Saturday. We have 13 local farmers, 1 organic farmer, a florist and spice shop, and many produce vendors. The market also carries a variety of other general merchandise like shirts, jewelry, incense, sports memorabilia, hand made soaps, carpet, photography and hand made crafts. We are open 52 weeks a year, and feature live music and concerts when weather permits. In addition, we host the Soulard Farmer’s Day Festival, Oktoberfest, Greater STL Hispanic Festival on the grounds. Our location is within a mile of Busch Stadium, Anheuser-Busch Brewery, the Gateway Arch & Riverboat Cruises, and the National Blues Museum. Our neighborhood is home to approx. 40 restaurants & bars, historic homes, and live music 7 days a week.

Great place to find cheap fresh food. Lots of fruit and vegetable stands but also other things like meat, sea food, flowers, clothes, accessories or incense. Little seating areas are available with attached cafes. In the middle of the two market rows are stores with...More

Was visiting St. Louis, MO for BBQ? Finished burnt ends at a restaurant across the street, disappointed, when I discovered Norton's Cajun Corner in Soulard Farmers Market. At closing time I got a bowl of Jambalaya $5. Cooking all day the rice was mush. That...More

We accidentally stumbled upon this farmers market and were glad we did! It’s been there for ages and it suppose its more lively sometimes than others but we came away with a lot of great produce.

This farmer's market is breathtaking. To stand on one end and look down the walkway with all of the booths of vendors just is amazing. The vendors were very friendly and helpful. Their is also history tied to this market.

Beautiful produce. Variety of other things— jellies, honey, soaps, breads. Interesting place to spend an hour or two. A bakery, a spice shop, a few eating places. Great fun. Very reasonable prices. Parking nearby for $1 per hour.

This is one of the biggest farmers market around. We went on a Friday afternoon, therefore the vendors and crowd was a little small but still lots to see and plenty of produce to choose from. We really enjoyed looking at all the different produce...More

It is not as big as I was expecting, but still has something for everyone. From live roosters and fish to clothes, you’ll find something you’re interested in. More prepared food than other markets I’ve been to.
