A look at the headstones in the Cemetery is overwhelming. To hear them play taps in the background is incredible. Anyone who cares about the Veterans needs to see this Park

I've been visiting B since childhood. I do go there regularly...like weekly. There's so much to do there including the archery course. It has beautiful views of the Mississippi River and has so much interesting history of war time.

Jefferson Barracks Historic Park is the site of a National Cemetery in South Saint Louis, where I have gone too often to bid farewell to veterans and their spouses in the 21st century

The Jefferson Barracks Cemetery is a lesson in American history. Framed against the Mississippi River the stark white tombstones shows the price of our collective history and its terrible cost. There are many graves of unknown soldiers and those from conflicts and wars that are...More

The new Civil War Museum does an excellent job of explaining Jefferson Barracks. There are also other museums on the grounds that are good, but I'd go to the Civil War Museum to get an overview of the Jefferson Barracks Historic Park.

My father is buried at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery. It is very peaceful and beautifully kept up. The museum is very interesting. They have some very good classes that I've signed my classes up for. They let the students churn butter in the Colonial class. In...More
