Don't take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We're four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there's the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge.

We LOVE this place. So creative and innovative. Great for tween children. You could be there for days and not take in every detail or see every nook and cranny. It is a first class lesson in up cycling. Incredible use of space and creativity....More

We went to City Museum on a recent visit to St. Louis based on friends' recommendations. We certainly weren't prepared for the mind-blowing, physically (at times) challenging, un-museumish atmosphere based on the name and the one YouTube video we checked out. City Museum is unlike...More

This place was built for kids and adults to have a great time. Eclectic, imaginative, hands on place to spend a lot of time at. So many things to do to wear out the kids and adults. Had to practically drag the kids out of...More

This place is fun for adults and children. However, be careful if you're an adult that's bigger than the average height or weight. Some of the structures have very narrow spaces that little kids can crawl or squeeze through, but it's pretty easy for an...More

Of all the parking spaces in St. Louis this area has the most break ins. Be sure to lock your car, take all valuables or put them in the trunk. Leave nothing in sight or your car will be ransacked. Its a fact. Good luck.

This is a place that changes all the time. Kids of all ages love it. I was worn out by the grand kids. We all had a really good time.

I would recommend this to anyone. My 2 teenage boys, husband and I had an awesome time. We really loved the ball pit and 10 story slide.

This place stands as one of the most interesting museum I've ever been to. Everything from the outside and inside are made completely from scratch. Yes! That also goes for the humongous airplanes that you see! They assembled them INSIDE the museum and put them...More

This place is just AWESOME fun. As others have already noted, it's for all ages and NOT a normal museum. It's one of the few places where they don't try to make ALL their money off of each person who walks through the door. For...More

I read a review that stated there were a lot of obstacles that adults could not fit in and they lost their small child for a while due to this.....is this still an issue? Nervous mommy of a 4 year old!
