Don't take the name so literally. We're about fun. Not your white walls, walk around, and be quiet museum. If you want to climb around, get active with your kids or are a big kid at heart, we're the place. If you get freaked out easily, you might not want to come. We're four floors filled with miles of tunnels, a full cave system, over 30 slides, a circus, an arts area, a large outdoor climbing space, Architectural Museum, a Cabin that serves adult beverages, a Museum of Mayhem, Mirth and Mystery, and a ton more. Also, there's the roof with a Ferris Wheel and a bus hanging off its edge.

This place is not your typical museum. It is an adult and kid alike wonderland of the most interesting and exciting adventures. Their is a cave maze, huge slides, roof top dome, you can climb almost everything, several themed restaurants. There are no words to...More

We just moved to a location blocks from the City Museum and FINALLY had a day to check it out. Honestly, we had no idea it was mostly for children but we had an awesome time climbing through tubes and exploring caves. It really is...More

It's a weird place with loads of crazy things in it. It was quite an experience, and although we tried some slides, toys and climbs it was not that much fun. Kids went crazy for this place that's for sure, but I got pretty bored...More

Once you have kids, you’re always looking for the next activity to keep them engaged. Look no further: City Museum has got it!! It seems they may be ever expanding and changing (they were working on a castle while we were there); the building is...More

The place is amazing and safe. We only missed playing at the rooftop bc they close it in winter. My advise for younger kids is to buy them the flash light with the head band. It’s easier and they won’t lose it.

It's really hard to describe this place. My best try would be to call it a 12 story sculpture playground. Kids and adults will love it. I wouldn't recommend visiting if you have trouble walking.

I love this museum!!! It will awe even the adults. It is all made out of reclaimed materials and it is super impressive. I would suggest not taking a toddler, they would enjoy it but they could get lost. it is unconventional family fun!

There is something for just about anyone to do at City Museum. I have visited several times with my teenage siblings and adult friends, and we have always had a wonderful time climbing, crawling, and sliding around this enormous jungle gym. A few things to...More

Its not a museum, although it has an interesting assortment of stuff to see and feel. It is more like an adult-size jungle gym that you walk around and crawl through. The unexpected things around the facility are strangely intoxicating as you try to experience...More

Friday evening will be the least crowded time of the holiday weekend. We do allow kids in after 5 pm, we just require them to be with an adult 18 years old or older.
