Loved that admission was free but be ready to shell out some cash for any food within the park. Most of the staff were friendly though the concession staff were curt (though not rude) and didn't go in for much for customer service with a...More

Penguins were fantastic. Up close and fun to watch. Kids enjoyed every minute. We make multiple trips a year and it just keeps getting better.

There are so many animal exhibits here, you really could spend an entire day (or more) if you wanted. Several of the paid attractions are free in the first hour - we were able to go to the stingray exhibit and ride the carousel for...More

Great place. This need to be on your place to visit with children or anyone who love outdoors. It was free. This has to be one of the best zoos in the United States

The St. Louis Zoo is one of the last zoos in the U.S. to offer free admission and therefore be accessible to everyone (many zoos run nearly $20/person these days). It is also a top-notch zoo in terms of animal habitats and enrichment, and is...More

I love being able to walk right in without emptying my wallet at the gate. I can go whenever, and it's great for bringing noisy kids, because you are outside and they are walking everywhere. Great outdoor activity.

being used to the Kansas City zoo this zoo had different animals than we are used to seeing. The exhibits are close together so the walking isn't out of this world. The exhibits are also pretty up close and personal.

We spent the good part of a rainy day here. Didn't get to see everything but very nice zoo! Lovely flowers and sculptures. Very well kept and FREE!

I saw stroller rentals when we walked in, I believe I saw other options as well to assist getting around. The zoo is very large.
