I visited this museum while in St. Joseph for the eclipse. It's a nice sized place with friendly staff. There are interactive displays for all ages to learn about this short but significantly-impacting period of American history.

The outside is unassuming but more spacious inside. There are plenty of exhibits inside, including a walk through history of the Pony Express. There is a park across the street with historical plaques.
