The art that is kept in the museum on the regular, is average. Some of it you wonder- how did this artist get in here?

This is exactly the kind of art museum I like to go to—small enough to be manageable yet large enough to have interesting works by well known artists. In addition to the more well-known pieces, there were a number of pieces by lesser known artists,...More

Interesting collection but not really to our tastes. Varied presentations that you would see in most museums.

Not worth going out of your way for. They have a few passable artworks, a fascinating Thomas Hart Benton and several trompe l'oeils. The tap room downstairs is a highlight.

Though a small museum, there are some pleasant surprises found in the Albrecht-Kemper's collection including a Cassatt, Glackens, Chase and a cool speak easy and library. This is an American Art collection museum and one worth a visit if you are in the area.

This is not a large museum, but they do have a good collection of American paintings and sculpture. The museum is arranged in chronological order, which makes it a fascinating place to spend an afternoon.
