Kids are free but they can not touch anything and it's hard for my 3 & 4 year old not to touch. Plus I was not impressed. I would rather spend my $5 downtown then go back.

Located in a beautiful area with a lovely garden. Enjoyed seeing the replica of Lewis and Clark's boat and the very interesting talk by the folks at the boat house.

There is lots of info on the Lewis and Clark expedition as well as some interesting info about the 200th anniversary re-enactment. You can see the boats from the re-enactment journey. School groups visit here a lot. They had a discount for military members.

The grandkids (ages 1 and 3) really loved the animal hunt -- the "tough" find is the opossum (no spoiler here). The section of the movie we watched (NG Lewis & Clark) inspired me to buy the Blu-ray. Anyone visiting St. Charles should see this...More

The draw here are the boats. These boats really made the trip to observe the bicentennial of the excursion. (A video of it is available for purchase). The problem is this is really a boathouse. The boats are safely stored on trailers behind an iron...More
