The Ralph Foster Museum contains a vast collection of artifacts with special emphasis on the history and culture of the Ozark Mountain Region. Originally housed in Abernathy Hall, a boy's dorm on the campus of College of the Ozarks, the building has been transformed into three floors of exhibits where visitors will find many items of interest, such as antiques, dolls, clocks, music items, a large firearms collection, natural history, and textiles, in addition to the Beverly Hillbillies truck that was used in the television series.

This has one of the best collections I've ever seen. 1st floor is all about music in the Ozark region. You can even get a picture with the Beverly Hillbillies vehicle! On the 2nd floor is one of the biggest collection of guns and rifles you will ever find. There is even a Gatling gun on display. 3rd floor was... More

We were late getting to Branson and had an eight PM show, so were pressed for time, but enjoyed the museum enough we will be going back. It's on the College campus and we ended up asking one of the students for final directions. The admission was very reasonable and all the employees we saw in the museum were students.... More

Our group ended our Campus Tour at the Museum. From the Beverly Hillbilly's Car to the taxidermy Grizzly Bear to the hundreds of guns to the Kewpie dolls...there is literally something for everyone's interest! Butterflies, birds, Dahl Sheep, miniatures, dried apple-head dolls, quilts, furniture, coins, stamps....please don't make me go on, just go have a look! Two hours for our... More

My husband & I visited 30 years ago. So amazed to see the collections have been maintained and grown over the years. Cannot wait to bring my granddaughter here!

We thought this was a museum about Ozark history. There was some history of the area, but it was primarily a lot of collections that I believe are owned by the College of the Ozarks. Collections include mounts of animals that are native and non-native to the area, mounts of birds, a large collection of guns, furniture, clothing and other... More

I enjoyed this museum very much. The gun display was very good. I enjoyed the clocks and pocket watches. I would go again when I have more time.

A must stop for anyone interested in the history of the Ozarks and who want a break from the madness of Branson. Just a remarkable job of assembling some wonderful pieces of history. The gun collection is one of the biggest that I have ever seen, amazing.

There is so much there that I can't begin to tell you about most of it. My favorite thing is that for $10 I got a picture of me and my husband sitting in the Beverly hillbillies truck...how cool is that??? Be warned though, it is a very tight squeeze to get into the seat for your picture.
