English Landing Park in Parkville is a community park that provides a wonderful variety of sports and activity options in the beautiful outdoors on the western bank of the great Missouri River. The about 2-mile long trail along the river bank is hard packed fine gravel and is very popularly used for walking, running and cycling. The trail provides great views of the river and the limestone hill of Parkville. The park has a stage where open air concerts are presented during eth summer. The historical bridge across Rush Creek is a lovely bridge. Adjacent to the park is the small Sullivan Sanctuary which is good for birdwatching also. The still-developing Platte Landing Park is an extension of English Landing Park. The new park has a large Dog Park in addition to approximately 4-K loop trail.

English Landing Park is a park no family will be disappointed spending a few hours. One can surely find something joyful to do here.

We were here on a Saturday morning for a family photo shoot. There were a lot of people at the farmer's market and a bunch of joggers on the many trails. Lots of grown trees, with plenty of shady places to hang out or picnic

The walking path for this park parallels the river and you can see it for miles in either direction. Since it is so near the water, the wind can be surprising, you may want to consider bringing a little extra wind protection, and if it has rained you will need waterproof boots. The park itself is beautiful, as is the view of nearby Park University up the hill. Unfortunately, the train track also parallels the river, and with lots of trains coming through you will often hear loud whistles. Come enjoy the view, but you may want to bring earplugs, too :)

Enjoy this park for getting back to nature, jogging, walking, or just relaxing. I enjoy sitting on a bench and just watching the river run by. There are many subjects for the camera buff and just some nice pics for people who only take only snap with their phone. This park is truly a stress reliever.

English landing is not only a great park for walking, several miles of walking trails, but also a great place for get togethers. There is a great playground, several shelters for BBQ's and a very large dog park. All that in the heart of Parkville. There is a local farmers market on Saturdays, April-Oct. A great place to visit almost any time of the year.

English Landing Park lies between the Missouri River and the Missouri Pacific Railroad tracks in southeastern Parkville. as well as a fairly long river walk with benches[placed under mature shade trees the park boasts volley ball courts and baseball fields. This is the site where Parkville has its annual Fourth of July fireworks display and associated festival..

The city market is located in the west end of the park

This park is right along the Missouri River with nice packed rock trails throughout. You can walk up to about a four mile loop, or any variation of distance. Much of the park is shaded by large trees and there is a lot of grassy area. There are playgrounds and swings for children, a sand volleyball court, and several picnic shelters.
The park is dog friendly and people jog, walk and bike on the trails. To the west of the original park there is a fenced dog park as well. There are several parking options and historic Main Street is just a block away. A lovely place for a walk or other outdoor activities.

We have a little gem here in Parkville, Missouri. It's a walking trail and baseball field and bicycle path and Dog Park right next to the Missouri river. My favorite is the Dog park. There are 2 side one for big dogs and one for smaller dogs. They have fresh water to drink and total fencing around both sides. Both dog parks have fun obstacles provided by the local Girl Scouts troup. Please remember to read the Dog park rules at the front before you inter. NO USING YOUR CELL PHONE. But hey you came to play with your dog.

I visit this park several times every week to walk. Most of the trails are crushed limestone and so easy on my legs. It's a very peaceful walk along the Missouri river. There are some large trees which provide some shade for parts of the trail.

We went on a day trip to Parkville and stopped at the park to walk around and by the river. The park has walking trails of different lengths, bridges to cross and a playground and ball fields. It is kept up wonderfully and was a joy to take in the sites. It is just down the hill from many of the shops.
