Wow! What a great view of the damn and the lake. We sat and watched the sun set and enjoyed reading all of the information about the history of the damn. The giant turbine was much larger than I was expecting.

The history of this is so cool, can't really see over the sides, but either go up on a look out or below it to see as well---will be going back this month

Always take visitors to see Bagwell Dam and Willmore Lodge which gives the history behind Bagwell Dam. Well worth the visit.

Must go to the top and check out the view at sunset. Ride around the entire area. The old W lodge is worth your time too. Very interesting. Good picnic area.

Bagnell dam top is a two lane dam roadway. Below the dam is campground. I would say no. Two lane roadway with no shoulder and gravel road campground. But check with Osage beach city hall for other access.
What is the cost for the guided tour?

They no longer offer guided tours. You can only access the outer portion of the dam on the east and the musuem on the west side of the road.
