We take our out of town guest here to bring them up to date on how things happened here when the lake was built.

The Bagnall Dam Historical museum is worth visiting. Interesting, easy to walk through, and lots of fascinating exhibits and information. Free!! Donations accepted. The Lake Area Master Gardeners maintain the gardens, including an herb garden, a pollinator garden, and a rain garden. Very good overview and photos of Lake of the Ozarks area before the dam and after it was built. Lots of memorabilia and locals accounting their stories.

Willmore houses a museum dedicated to the history of the building of Bagnall Dam and how the Lake of the Ozark came to be. There are also wonderful views of the Lake from their balcony and the great room.

A visit to Will more Lodge will give you a history of the building of the dam and an understanding of the area before the dam was built.

It was a beautiful site with a lot of great information about the dam and surrounding area. The older gentleman behind the counter was very informative! Definitely recommend!

Great place to get info about the area and the building of the dam and the lake. The staff member there was very helpful and gave us great advice about local attractions and restaurants. She went above the call of duty to help us. The museum there is quite interesting and informative.

Was delightfully greeted by docents working the museum. They told about the lodge and history. Beautiful view of the lake area.

Very impressive...found it by mistake. It was informative and worth stopping by. Great information on how the dam was made and interesting information on the area how it was developed.
