Wonderful place to visit in Spring and enjoy the Views.

I went here with my mother in law who was suffering with Cancer.. we were able to enjoy an easy walk for her and take in all the beauty.. one of the best days we shared together.

We are just a little bit prejudiced by anything rustic or log-style, but this place is fantastic. It doesn't take long to go through the building and museum but the architecture and the view of the lake are phenomenal and well worth the stop. The lodge was taken down piece by piece from where it was first built in Oregon... More

What a hidden gem. You pass the Willmore Lodge when you cross over the dam and many times I just passed it right up. After a visit there, i always recommend guests to go to Willmore Lodge. The views are fantastic and the volunteers are always happy to share a bit of history about the building, previous owners, and the... More

We take our out of town guest here to bring them up to date on how things happened here when the lake was built.

The Bagnall Dam Historical museum is worth visiting. Interesting, easy to walk through, and lots of fascinating exhibits and information. Free!! Donations accepted. The Lake Area Master Gardeners maintain the gardens, including an herb garden, a pollinator garden, and a rain garden. Lake Ozark Master Naturalists are on hand during Eagle Days - Jan 7-8, 2017 for Bald Eagle spotting... More

Very good overview and photos of Lake of the Ozarks area before the dam and after it was built. Lots of memorabilia and locals accounting their stories.

Willmore houses a museum dedicated to the history of the building of Bagnall Dam and how the Lake of the Ozark came to be. There are also wonderful views of the Lake from their balcony and the great room.

A visit to Will more Lodge will give you a history of the building of the dam and an understanding of the area before the dam was built.
