We were presented with a gift of season tickets and ended up disappointed overall because the choice of music more often than not was something obscure and/or simply not very "musical." Instead of a majority of pieces being classical favorites most people would recognize and...More

I'll openly admit I'm a little biased when it comes to the symphony - as a classically trained violinist I would always recommend you go! This is really no exception except the caveat that the building is amazing. Even if the symphony isn't your favorite...More

We attended this performance as part of our office Christmas party, and what an experience! The acoustics in Helzberg Hall are unrivaled, and the musicians and chorus were top shelf. Great views from the center grand tier. This was the first performance attended by the...More

Attended the KC Symphony performance of the Messiah. There are not words enough to express the quality of this performance and I have attended and performed in Messiah concerts the world over. Very impressed, outstanding.

This new attraction is amazing and beautiful ~ the views at night are wonderful looking to downtown and crown center/union station. There are networking events here also for business.

We have been attending Kansas City Symphony concerts since the 1960's (and my 7th grade class heard them in 1948!). Now we've got the best musical director and conductor of those 65 year--Michael Stern, son of Isaac Stern who has grown up with great musicians....More

The place is so uplifting and ethereal. The music was classical selections, including Beethoven played by Yevgeny Sudbin, and it was sooo beautiful. The whole experience was perfect. Seating was comfortable, staff very helpful, gift shop has affordable unique gifts, and the prices were reasonable...More

The symphony is always awesome and now they play in the one of the best venues in the country, the Kauffman Performing Arts Center. You can even sit behind the symphony and hear perfectly. The members enjoy thier job and it shows in their performance.
