When visiting the city this would be a delightful spring, summer, fall sight to see. Beautiful fountains throughout the area and accented with lights at night. Just beautiful for a cool summers walk and most have benches around the larger fountains just to sit and watch and...More

Really enjoyed walking KC and seeing the fountains scattered throughout town. There's plenty in Country Club Plaza along with all of the parks. There's even fountains on some of the roads out of town. Highlights for us were the JC Nichols and the one at...More

Yes, KC is filled with fountains and other forms of public art. It is a pleasure to walk around and notice all the attractive public art, creating great public space to spot and enjoy the city.

I happen to love fountains--partly because my city has none ( Milwaukee ) Kansas City has them all over--they should be proud

It's pretty, one can pose and click pictures. Can just walk around and enjoy the place. We went in the day and it was very sunny, but was worth the lovely pictures that came out.

KC is known as the City of Fountains for a reason. Lots and lots of them all around. I particularly liked the Nichols Fountain at the edge of Country Club Plaza.

Always have read that Kansas City is the city of fountains but I never imagined just how beautiful they were until we visited so many of them during our recent trip here. Ya'll are lucky to have them.

It answer to your question in regards to the fountains, it really depends on Mother Nature for the time line.I have seen in past years they were still flowing the night of the traditional Plaza Lighting for Christmas.

There is a map available on the fountains. Look at them and check which way the light is coming from so you know the best time to shoot. (Go to the Arabia museum. Fascinating look at the past)
