The Missouri state capitol has great art and architecture. It is a must visit for all those in the state and those visiting. Make sure to get the guided tour and to see the small Museum off to the side.

Loved seeing the busts of famous people from Missouri in the rotunda area. House Chamber much more impressive than the Senate Chamber. Located along the river so some amazing views from some of the offices.

Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes if you plan to tour and see all there is to see. Recommend you plan to take at least 3 hours to learn about the rich history and to see all of the art work.

We stopped to visit the Capitol grounds on a trip through Missouri. Surprisingly, there is a museum in the capitol open even on Sunday. We spent 1 1/2 around the grounds and the inside museum. I very good trip for the family.

The Missouri state capital in Jefferson City is a fun day trip from the St. Louis area. The capital is well done and full of artwork and stained glass.

You could spend an entire day taking tours and wandering through the Missouri State Capitol. It is quite an interesting, ornate, and historical experience. We basically began on the highest floor that visitors were allowed and worked our way down. They have free guided tours...More

Yes, you read that right. Missouri is one of only two states that allow the rotunda area to be rented by groups religious or otherwise. There was a beautiful Christian meeting of Pentecostal folks who blew the Shofar (Rams horn), had live music and deep...More
