    Great swimmable waters
Go to this beach for a swim….. easier waters to navigate, rocks to explore, easy snorkel, available beach chairs and umbrellas (200 pesos/chair). Lots of vendors but not as many as main south beach. Cemetery close by “Beach of the Dead”. Take your own cooler with beer to save money. Easy to get to with Golf Cart.

    Fun adventure
Fun little ride through the cemetery in our golf cart. Parked, woman asked for 100 pesos to park. Two food/drink stands just before the entrance, we got some frozen pineapple margaritas to hang with at the beach. It was very low key, looked like mostly locals. You can just leave your stuff by the shady rock area and swim you don’t need to buy an umbrella as long as you have a beach blanket you’re good there’s some shady trees. A peaceful escape from the other beaches for sure.

    Favourite beach in Sayulita!
Our favourite beach in Sayulita! This beach is much quieter than the main beach, and the waves were perfect for boogie boarding and swimming! No rocks or coral, so it was easy for the kids to float, swim & play in the waves. Some tips: -take a golf cart here if you have one (and they may charge you 10$ a day to park it. We were able to bargain for 80 pesos) -lots of vendors, but they are all friendly. We ordered beers (40 pesos) & pops for the kids, you can buy bracelets, get hair braided etc etc. -you can rent chairs and tables, umbrellas, loungers for the day if you want. So you can just walk down with a towel and some cash, and you’re set up for the day! One day the waves were quite big, so if it’s windy, prepare for that (every beach was like this that day). Truly paradise! We came to this beach three times and had a blast each time!

    Check out Playa los Muertos
Playa los Muertos is much nicer than Sayulita beach. Not many people go there (mostly parents and younger children) so it is much quieter. The waves aren’t as strong and the sand is finer. You can rent chairs from the restaurants but there’s lots of shade if you don’t want to spend money. Best of all, there are very few hawkers.

BEWARE SCAMMERS: visited this beach and parked a motorcycle outside. After being at the beach all day and trying to leave, some lady comes out of the wood works demanding money for parking. This is despite no sign or anything. She then became physically assualtive.

A lovely beach and great swimming until you notice what seems to be floating in the water. You wonder about rogue sewage dumping....otherwise it would be a great beach.

The walk to the hidden beach is nice as you get to see the entire bay and the whole of Sayulita beach. The walk through the cemetery is a way to see how different cultures honour their passed love ones. The beach, though seems highly overrated. Not sure what it was about the day we were there, but it was overrun and crowded with vendors. The rocks were nice to explore but that’s about it. Water was no cleaner than on Sayulita north beach. Wish we experienced what others have been writing about, but it was a miss for us.

This beach is the best for swimming in the area. It’s only a short walk from town and it’s located between two big rock formations, so it’s very clean and there aren’t many waves.

Loved our day at Playa los Muertos. We walked there using Google Maps, rented beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach for a low cost, and enjoyed drinks and snacks from the vendors.

Beach bar on this beach serving drinks over charged me 800+ dollars and multiple of my friends were also incorrectly charged , I ordered 3 tacos , 1 Drink and and round of shots for our group . My other friend did the same and he was charged 90 something dollars, they never gave me a receipt or let me check out . Next day 908$ charge on my account . Shady people trying to take advantage of people . Other people in my group were also incorrectly charged but not as severe as me
