About
Mercado del Pueblo is the only Farmer's Market in Nayarit and the first in the Bahia de Banderas. We feature local, organic and natural consumable goods from the region. Recently, local artisans were also added. Every Friday, during the growing season from November-April,come enjoy the products of the area from vegetables and fruits to medicinal products and prepared artisan foods and handmade jewelry. Live music every Friday and street performers make it fun for all! All proceeds from the market go directly to support local projects like water and river clean up, providing biodegradable and natural cleaning supplies to the town and supporting our local children's parks and schools.

I decided to come before things get really crazy here in Sayulita during high season. The market happily has an entrance to ensure all attendees are wearing masks and temperatures are taken and a separate exit. All of the vendors were wearing masks and I felt very comfortable. Unfortunately that didn’t translate out to the streets.

Love the Friday market in Sayulita. The food options are excellent; fresh organic produce; lots of great baking; nuts; candy; cheese; amazing local crafts people; and some entertainment.

My wife and I attended 2 Friday markets in February. It is said to be the only farmers' market in Nayarit and as such, you must admire the number of farmers who are also bakers, coffee growers, jewllers, t-shirt artists, fund raisers, cheese makers, jam makers, hammock makers, herbalists, barristas, restauranteurs and musicians. My wife found some interesting jewellry, I bought fresh strawberries, coffee and raspberries. We are planning on going back for a small purse and water bottle holder. The local musician were unique to me and were very nice.

Lots of handicrafts, natural foods and health-addicts. Good food options too. Not easy to find parking nearby.

The market was small but it is where I got all my trinkets to take home. Love it when vendors don't bother you to buy and let you browse at your liesure.

We visited Sayulita where there were plenty of vendors selling colorful items as keepsakes. Visited a local restaurant where food was taste.

The market was small and about 5 or 10 blocks of more Porta Vallarta style. Crowds at Christmas vacation made traffic and beach a mass mob. The sewers appeared to empty onto the streams and onto the beach where surfing was top grade. Ubiquitous beach vendors were thick and polite. Giant pina colladas were huge and great. A half day here and then we were informed of smaller beach villages 10 and 20 minutes North for real Mexican cultures.

On the east side of the bridge only on Fridays. I lived in Mexico for years but was in Sayulita for the first time. I saw unique one-of-a-kind artisan items here plus the food available was amazing...if ur vegan, the vegan food was as good as it gets! Definitely worth seeking out
