After visiting the sea castle, the souks are just across the street. Did not enjoy it much as it was extremely dirty in my opinion with trash flouting around everywhere.

Arrived in a great sunshine morning and the place was in a peace scene, most restaurant and cafe are just opened and we hired a boat and went off to a nearby island tour which is extremely cheap for the whole boat, 15 minutes ride...More

A real rabbit warren. So many different things. And unlike some, not the same pressure to buy. Not worth a trip from Beirut, but if combined with other attractions, then fascinating.

Nothing special about this souq except that it has some original old buildings , you can shop for fresh fruits and vegetables and drink fresh dates juice , the area is neglected and not very suitable for tourists

I’ve been going to Lebanon for years and have never visited Sidon before. I immediately fell in love with it’s history and beautiful old buildings. This place really is a time warp, you could be in the 1800’s here! The souks are a bit touristy...More

After seeing the castle, don't just walk up the main alley off the main road. There are numerous alleys to wander. You can move out of the tourist trap areas into arts and craft areas, woodworkers, food makers etc. Then you can end up in...More

After exploring the Sea Castle, spend hours getting lost in the winding streets of the old souk - one of the best preserved remaining souks in the country. Be on the lookout for hole in the wall Turkish Delight stores where little old men are...More

You can get lost in here for hours while wandering through the atmospheric streets. Cobblers, furniture-makers, metal workers, spice stalls and fresh produce make for interesting sights and smells in every direction. It's a proper souk - not like in Beirut.
