it's so nicely designed and i arrived a little late, the museum was going to close, but the staffs were quite friendly. it's inside the old souq of Sidon, if you visit there, be sure to visit this museum, it's really worth a visit, it's so interesting to know the history of making soaps and hamam tradition also.

if you're in Sidon, you have to visit the soap museum. The location and architecture alone are worth the visit. But it's also interesting to learn something more about the history of soap.

Tour was a wonderful, detailed explanation of the soap making process and why the family founding this museum is a community icon (translation: rich bankers). However, museum gift shop had only about 50 bars of two kinds of soap on sale post-tour. That's like a celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay giving you a tour of his kitchen, then sitting you down... More

It's a beautiful restored place where you can get some information about soap making as well as very few kinds of soap (i would have liked more) but i would have expected something more from a "museum". It's a nice place to see if you are ever in Sidon but not a must.

I went to saida especially for that museum. After I heard about it from Lebanese friend. And it didn't disappoint me when I was there. It was nice to see the museum with the helpful museum's guide and friendly. We took a look of all the process of the soap manufacturing. And the important part after the tour the shop... More

The soap museum is one of the best places to visit in Seidon. You can watch all steps of the traditional soap production and there is a shop nearby where you can buy all kinds of soap with different scents which are all very nice.

arriving through the old souk adds to the charm. Through narrow alleys you arrive to the back entrance. The museum is spectacular. Everything that has to do with the art of soap making in the middle east. Olive oil, eucalyptus, bay leaves... you are guided through the whole process in a beautiful building. Do take the time to visit the... More

The first thing that strikes you upon a visit to the soap museum is how strait forward it is. It literally takes you step by step in the process of creating soap in the actual places it used to take place, with live specimens and historical objects on show. And the whole journey is capped off with a viewing session... More

I've always heard of the Soap Museum in Saida/Sidon, but I never got to see it. Until one day, I requested it! And when I got the area, I didn't believe it's inside the Franj Souk! I was amazed bu the sight of it! It has history written all over it! I has freshness of soaps of the old and... More
