Nothing grand here.
If you have been to Africa, specifically the South African Eastern Cape Region or if you have been to South America, then you have witnessed true untouched natural beauty like no other.
This is an average to a poor experience for the time taken.
Not much in terms of hiking trails, and the tour operators / taxis have managed to dirty the entrance.

Netravali waterfall is located deep inside the netravali wildlife sanctury. Reach the Gram Panchayat first, then the treking base village is around 5 kms drive. This waterfall comes to life during monsoon and becomes the breath taking soon.
First time when we reached there the flow was at its highest level subsequently we cancelled the program and instead went to Bamanbudo waterfall. The next week we again went to netravali for the expedition this time we were 8 young guys and we decided to do it without guide. We didnt know it would be such a difficult one, we crossed the flow 6-8 times and then the last 1 km was through the forceful stream itself. A local guide is highly recommended.
Nearby is located the Tanshikar Spice Farm which is also a worth visit place. It can arrange your breakfast/lunch on prior booking basis and provide you a guide too. You can get its contact over internet itself.

It is an awesome waterfall with a nice calm pool at the bottom. The trek to go down is difficult for a person like me who is not very athletic and difficult if you have young kids along with you, but once you reach the pool all the effort seems worth it. If you are planning to come here, keep a good amount of time in hand as it take some time to walk there and back and once you reach there you may not want to leave early as it is so beautiful and calm. If you are a nature lover or want some quiet time, this is THE place to visit. We travelled here from Candolim and enjoyed the ride here through greenery even in summer as much as we enjoyed the waterfall.

We went to Netravalli on Aug 14th. The Forest Dept was very helpful and guided us properly. You need to walk up about a Km on plains and about 500 steps down, so take a stick for support. This is a great place and seems safe. possible that small fish surround your feet in waters. but the waterfall is quite tall and enjoyable. unfortunately many seem to have coloured water, will be good if the Forest Dept has 1-2 down at the waterfall itself. But this place is worth the visit. Apparently there;s another water fall closeby but a longer trek. Converse with the guides at the parking lot, they are helpful.

This review is for the Savri waterfall, which can be accessed by car plus a 10 min walk plus descent through 250 steps. The other waterfall in the netravali park needs a longer trek. As we had a 4 year old with us, we chose this one.
It was a good trek. The steps part is strenuous , probably not for kids under 3 or elders or folks with knee issues. Our four year old is particularly adept at treks and it was not an issue for us. The waterfall itself is pretty, and the area is clean. I was expecting some rubbish and plastic trash as some other reviews had mentioned but there wasn’t any. Instead there was a large trash basket and a request to place all plastic trash there. Looks like the area been cleaned up. There is also a forest department guard placed near the pool of the waterfall to monitor things. I guess this has helped stop the littering.
The more adventurous can scramble downstream on the rocks , or take a dip in the pool ( there are fish that come over to nibble on you, dosent hurt but tickles ).
Beware of leeches and mosquitos. As long as you apply DEET containing repellent, you should be ok. Don’t fear DEET for occasional use, you will need it here.

netravali basically has 2 waterfalls, savari and mainapi. savari being the one where most of the youth flock to, mainapi is a terrific trek with lots of leeches to encounter on your way. so its advised to carry the necessary items for your trekking. Believe me, its amazing once you get there, all the tiredness you felt on the way will just fade away

Nice waterfall tucked within Netravali wildlife sanctuary. One can do trekking or go in a jeep upto a point from where steps are provided to walk down towards the waterfall.
The walk towards the waterfall is fantastic.
Biggest drawback is that people who visited the waterfall have forgotten that they need to carry back the rubbish. It is very unfortunate that rubbish is thrown everywhere.

The place is a little far from Goa city, but is very different when compared to other places in Goa. From Netravali town, there are 2 routes one to Mainapi waterfall and other to Savri.
We have to trek for about 45 minutes by crossing 6 small water bodies through forest to reach the waterfalls. When we went in december there was not much water to we trekked till the top of the fall which is a little difficult.
There is no much water and we can easily bath in the falls.
Overall loved the place and the trekking

The name of the waterfall is Savari Waterfall in Netravali. There are many routes you can follow the reach the place
1. If you are coming from Canacona
Canacona --> Gavdongari ----> Ambeghat ---> Netravali ----> Savari ---> Savari Waterfall
2. Coming from Balli
Balli ----> Kupaar -----> Kavrem ----> Sulkarna ----> Netravali
3. Coming from Quepem
Quepem ----> Tilamol ----> Rivona ----> Netravali
4. Coming from Sanguem
Sanguem ----> Baati ----> Valkini ----> Vaddem ----> Netravali
After reaching the Savari village you need to park your vehicle and pay the parking fee. Its around 30 minutes walking distance from Savari village. Its a adventurous trip of 30 min from the dense forest. Do not visit with children and elderly people during monsoons as you need to walk through the water and cross the water 5-6 times before reaching the waterfall. Its a perennial waterfall and you can visit any time of the year. Best time to visit is August and September.
