I just moved to Eureka and I absolutely love the hiking around here. There are so many trails, and it's perfect for everyone. Hiking, trail running, biking, dogs, and horses. I hike here nearly every day with my dog

Went to the park over the summer. Beautiful area right outside the St. Louis area. Highly recommended for a family to visit.

If you are a trail runner you already know this park. If you do not yet, then you will be very happy to discover this secret place. This is a long hike in a challenging terrain, uphill and rocky.

This park has the Chubb Trail head which will take you through Castlewood into Lone Elk park. It is a beautiful trail anytime of the year, and is also one of the more challenging trails in Missouri. If you only have a couple of hours,...More

West Tyson is a park that is away exclusively woods. It's got a nice central trail that is hilly. The park connects to other county parks on the back side. You might see deer and will surely see small wildlife.

is there a fire pit where girl scouts could have a campfire and make s'mores? (Adult would be making the campfire!)

I think the part has two sites for campfires. You would need to contact the park services to reserve the campsites and get the proper permits. The fall is a great time to hike and be at this park.
