Called in to show the wife the chocolate factory and got invited in to do the free tour. The young chap was fantastic and had us and the yank and Swedish tourists in stitches, great presentation skills and good knowledge ( I work in a much bigger chocolate factory) but his info was bang on, a great asset to that... If you go to Mijas you need to go to this place and if you like chocolate you will feel like you are in heaven and guess what, you can make your own chocolate flavour. Is a small shop but they have the best selection of chocolates that you ever see before.

This was a lovely novelty experience, the chance to make and decorate three chocolate bars. These are then put in the fridge for about twenty minutes to cool, then presented to you beautifully wrapped and waiting to be enjoyed. The admission charge is well worth it, and the staff are lovely, friendly and helpful, and clearly love their work.

You really must visit this chocolate factory. My husband and I had lunch or a snack here almost every day of our holiday. The warm ginger cake, with caramel topping and Mango ice cream with chocolate shards is divine. Also a visit to the factory is such good fun and you can create your own chocolates and bring them back... More

Great fun chocolate making experience with the very enthusiastc Callum. We made three chocolate bars, flavouring them as we chose. We were able to taste the flavourings before making our own chocolate bars under the expert guidance of Callum. Thank you!

Went on a day trip to the monkey mayan chocolate factory. Made three chocolate bars and became a fully fledge chocolate maker. We had a wonderful enthusiastic teacher Callum. He told us the history of the store etc. We were allowed to taste the ingredients before we made the chocolate bars. Various ingredients once made we were given a certificate... More

We first went to other shop in town and purchased some chocolate and the lady suggested we went to the other shop and did the factory tour. There was only 2 of us. We had to put on hair nets but the lad (sorry cant remember his name) was really funny and passionate about his job. We had a fun... More

The first thing you notice is the staff. They are very friendly and accommodating. Next thing, the coffee is quite good. The ice cream is fantastic, but you are here for the chocolate! I recommend that you at least do the 15-20 min chocolatiers lesson. It is more like 30 mins, but that is fine. It's fun, light hearted, and... More

We always visit the Mayan Monkey Chocolate shop when in Mijas. I love their hot chocolate and the kids love the ice cream. This time we did the chocolate making workshop where we got to make three bars of chocolate, choosing our own ingredients to add. It was a great family experience and kids said it was the best bit...
