We stopped here just to stretch our legs and found a pretty lake and lots of trails. Although we only walked by the lake, the children did take advantage of the playground. The whole park is among beautiful trees and is quiet. There was also a nice pavilion that could accommodate a large group. Nice park.

If you love trees, this is the best campground around. Most campsites have great screening for privacy between sites. The camp hosts were very accommodating, and the shower house was really clean. We'll definitely be back!

Several trails are available for a walking pleasure. Most can trails ( maybe 5) are blazed without distraction from other visitors.

4 of us went on our annual camp out and tried Wallace State Park this year. We are elderly ladies, camping in a tent. We bring no children and don't really require a lot. Wallace Park was very clean easily accessible from the highway with a cute town nearby to pick up any needed supplies. The only downside would be... More

Went camping here this past weekend. Very well kept park with primative camping, camping spots with electricity and camping spots with both electricity and water, as well as R/V hookups! They also have free showers included in a very nice indoor restroom area. That facility was very clean and well kept as well! They also have laundry facilities! Nice lake!... More

Wallace state park in Cameron MO is a beautiful and involved place to visit. With bbq'ing, hiking, and fishing there is plenty to do with their day use areas. If you plan or want to be there longer, their camping areas are very accommodating. Besides the above mentioned activities, campers have access to a complete bath house and laundry facilities.... We needed an overnight while on the road and stumbled upon this state park. Camped just one night but they had the nicest camp hosts i have ever met. The bathhouse was impeccably clean as was the whole campsite. I was on night 25 on the road with teens and it was the cleanest and best kept site we stayed... More

We took some students here for a field trip at the end of the school year & incorporated activities in the park as their final for the semester. Students were able to explore the park and apply physics, biology, meteorolgy, astronomy, so many things during our time here! There are many places to park and grill at shelters, camp sites,... Was taking a day trip with some of my motorcycle riding friends and decided to stop by this park - it is beautiful! Nice shelter house for a picnic, small lake for fishing, and very clean restrooms. The parking lot was asphalt which is good for motorcycles.
