Recently there was a flooding situation in Branson with too much water in the lake and all the spillways were opened to max to let the water levels lower. Imagine standing off from the base of the dam and watching the cascading water fall from the top with a deafening roar. The run off river was boiling as the fast... More

My in laws gave us a quick tour of Branson and we stopped at the dam to take some pictures. It's a really nice area, but not a whole lot to do at the stop. Great for a few pictures!

Other than the fact that you can see over the city of Branson it is just another dam. A large concrete structure, but if you have seen one dam you have pretty much seen them all, I don't think this one is anything different.

One of the highlights for me each time I travel to Branson is to drive over Table Rock Dam as I am just entering my destination.

Make sure you go see this, and watch Branson Visitor TV to see a short history on this. It is simply amazing how our Grandfathers and Great-Grandfathers help build such an amazing dam.

We went to the dam 2 times. Once by water and the other by car at dusk. It was interesting but I am not sure it is actually a tourist destination.

Another awesome view of part of the fabulous lake. I have fished the lake several times and am always impressed with the nature views.

There is an overlook in a couple of places, but there really isn't anything to do but look at it and drive across it. If you like engineering, you will probably like just looking at what it took to build it. There are places on either side of the dam you can pull over and watch the sunset if you... More

Grew up with little road trips on Sunday afternoon being taken to dams all over the state of Arkansas.. this is one of my favorites.. great lookout spot. Try to take the time to spread out a quilt and write in your journal..
