A highlight of the Silver Dollar City theme park, this constantly evolving wet limestone cave under the Ozark Mountains, dating back to the 1500s, provides a one-hour tour of fascinating rooms and passageways. The cave's entryway is the largest in the U.S.

The cave is a 5 star cave. I couldn't give it an overall 5 as it was not a perfect tour. The guide was funny and knowledgeable. However, we go average 5-8 caves a year and we've become spoiled a bit. We prefer a tour...More

My husband and granddaughters went through the cave. I chose not to go. Even though they did the tour at the end of the day at Silver Dollar City, they really enjoyed it and talked about it all the way back to the hotel.

Guides over emphasize negatives when describing adventure. Many stairs going down. Need to be in good health to go on tour. Our guide had a tone. Even delivering a so called joke came across more like sarcastic statement.

Be sure to hit this cave tour during your trip to Silver Dollar City. It is a free tour. The cave is cool, which is a nice reprieve from the heat. The views from the inside are like nothing I have ever seen before, especially...More

We waited 30 minutes in line to go through the cave. The guide then told us how risky is is. How it could take up to two hours to go through. If the tram breaks down then we would stand in the hot sun with...More

Beautiful cave and interesting history. Lots of stairs but well worth it! If you are afraid of heights, it may be intimidating when you first enter the cave.

This a true adventure, but health is very important. You walk down 50 stories of stairs to get to the bottom and then you have to climb 20 stories before the ride is available to the exit. There are warning signs posted before entering and...More

This is right when you get into Silver Dollar City. It will work you out as you have to go down at least 250 stairs and up another 50, so it it's not something for older people, or people with knee problems. It is an...More

I'm sorry, but I don't know. They have a Lantern Light Tour that can start as early as 4:30pm (depending on when the park close, sometimes it's 5:30), so they might stop the regular tours before that particular one starts... More

You can actually get into the cave for free. The cave is not owned by SDC. It is owned by Lake of the Ozarks college. You can do some paperwork and get in for free only the cave not the theme park.
