Refreshing to see an independent bookseller doing so well. Has a large variety of books on 2 floors. Looks like many authors come by to sign books. Many areas of local interested in Mississippi history as well as books written about the south. Make sure you get some coffee on the second floor and sit on the balcony overlooking Courthouse... We enjoyed looking through the wonderful selection of books at the main store, the children's store and the discount store!

Wonderful selection of books from every genre in this & their two companion stores. Loved the 2nd floor cafe where I could take in the sites & sounds of Oxford, the literary capital of the south. You won't leave without at least one book though it's hard to choose!

Square Books is a fun Book Store to visit. You can find many current/newly released books, many of which are signed by the authors. However don't expect to find right leaning and/or conservative literature prominently displayed. They may have to "order it" for you. Otherwise you will enjoy a visit.

Great location and was nice to browse. Lots of signed books. I happened to grab a signed Grisham for my bestie.

I visit Square Books every time I bring my wife back to Mississippi from the Midwest to visit her family. As much as I love her family, we all know that SB is the true draw for yours truly! As much as I enjoy perusing the southern lit section along with newer selections, it's the ambiance of the store that... More

My wife and I visited this book store. The store is located on the main square of town. The store had a great selection of books. My wife picked up a signed copy of "Dispatches from Pluto", one of our favorite books about the delta. This store should be a considered a must-see if you're visiting Oxford.

So neat to walk into a traditional, local bookstore. So much better than a big box store. The signed, first edition copies of books were a bonus. Loved this stop on our quick tour through downtown Oxford. Even if you're not into books, this is a must stop around the square. Friendly neighborhood service with a smile.

A great bookstore in the center of town. Faulkner spent a lot of time here at Square books. Interesting selection of books and souvenirs.
