Great little Museum with exceptional telling of Jimmie Rogers life. The father of country music and a transitional giant between southern blues and country. He did it all. A very enjoyable visit. The museum is easy to get to in Meridian in a nice park. I have wanted to visit for years and finally got the chance. I have a... More

It was ok - my husband flipped out over his guitar. The lady inside was upset that we brought our kids inside and told them to leave that it was no place for kids. So I had to take them next door to the playground which was nice. Personally I don't understand why it took more than 30 minutes to... More

This is a great place to visit. I will admit I had to look up who he was but I was so glad we stopped. It's a great piece of america and music history. A great bit to see.

Had been wanting to see this for a long time and finally made it. Brought my husband for his birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the guide was wonderful. She knows the history and is very informative. We thought it was great. Read some reviews. He died 82 years ago. You can't expect to find anything new. We were very... More

I have always heard about Jimmy Rogers growing up. I wanted to go to the museum. It was interesting but very costly for admission. As one stated it does seem run down. I still enjoyed seeing the history that I had always heard about in many of the country music singers song!

We just didn't feel that this museum was worth the entrance fee. Granted that it's free for active duty military and kids, but it was very small and didn't have anything that really grabbed our attention. It also just looked run-down and poorly maintained (as did the entire park it's located in). Probably more suited for die-hard classic country fans.

We enjoyed the chance to visit the museum, because of the information shared with us by the guide. We also enjoyed viewing the video during our time there.

We stopped by this museum more because we were in the area, than that we were interested in Jimmie Rodgers, but the woman who took us around was so enthusiastic and eager to share her knowledge that it spilled over and we had a great time. It's a VERY small museum, but full of Jimmie Rodgers artifacts, and it sits... More

Even if you are not a country music fan you will find this museum very interesting. It explains the history of country music which pretty much started with Jimmy Rodgers. The carousel is not far away and then you can eat at Weidmann's restaurant which was wonderful
