Anyone who has loved Kermit the Frog and the Muppet movies would enjoy a look into the life of Jim Henson and the influence his boyhood on the banks of Deer Creek in Leland had on his lifelong creativity and imagination. A large plush Kermit invites visitors to have their picture taken with him and watch TV clips from his... More

It's Jim Henson and Kermit! The Muppet Show and other Henson creations were some of my favorites growing up. OI guess I feel like it should be more and a bit more important, but it is in tiny Leland, MS.

A small museum for all ages in Leland, Mississippi houses so many important memories of the great Jim Henson. The area is where he created the Kermit the Frog Muppet (originally a lizard), and the museum is kind of a tribute to this happening. There are storyboards, pictures, Fraggles, a Christmas tree with Muppet ornaments (not for sale), a room... More

This collection of Henson puppets and memorabilia brought us back to a happy time. We loved seeing the evolution of the Muppets. It was fun to see the collection of photos and news clips about Henson and his creations. The museum had albums to look through for this. It was a fun few hours.

This was a fun place to visit and buy some Muppet souvenirs. The exhibits were very informative about Jim Henson's early years. The lady that runs it is very nice and can answer all your questions. It's next to the stream were he sat and created Kermit. Extensive collection of Muppet memorabilia available for purchase.

We saw this by chance on the trip advisors forums- we went from Memphis to Natchez and this was a good stop off point! The lady running it is very knowledgable. A good little museum that will give your legs a break from driving and a nice trip down memory lane

It doesn't take long to walk through. But it's a beautiful space to recognize the history and success. The volunteers are very nice and knowledgeable of the area. Good for kids!

This is a small museum in a small town. It is very cute. This ais a lovely tribute to Jim Henson who moved away from the area when he was 12. The lady that runs the place is a real gem and a treasure trove of knowledge of Mr. Henson's work and life. Probably not worth a special trip, but... More

People working here are so nice. I spent $60 while I was here and it was a blast. I'll be back for sure. Its also right next to the famous creek where Jim Henson played at, and where Kermit was created.
