My 8 and 6 year old really enjoyed the museum, they didn't want to leave. I would recommend planning for 5 to 6 hours stay. Once you leave, you can enjoy the wonderful park across the street and even visit the Natural Science Museum.

The main exhibit, The Mississippi Story or something, is terrific and free. This state is better renowned for its music and literature -- check out the visual art!

It's not the biggest or the best art museum, but it is worth the trip, especially when they have special exhibits or events.

We actually went there for a special dinner. Food was great and we met some really nice people. Loved the art! The mural in the entry was really interesting. I was surprised that this museum was so good!
