It is a well kept tourist attraction with period furniture pieces throughout the house. Upstairs has the life of Tennessee Williams written as scenes or acts in a play. Very fascinating. Would recommend for tourists passing through to view.

The Tennessee Williams Welcome Center, is located in downtown Columbus. It is a historic home, with beautiful decor and the history of Mr. Williams himself.

This old house has obviously had extensive, but careful, restoration and it shows. The volunteers one encounters are well versed in the local scene. It's free and qualifies as a good first stop for all visitors.

The people that guided the tour were friendly and informative. You will enjoy the exhibit on the second floor and the home in general. Columbus is an interesting town and worthy of drive to see it.
