The actual wetlands is surrounded by a cyclone wire fence and tall reeds. If you want to see anything, then 1pm to 5pm on Sundays is about your only chance when the Education Centre and Hide are both open. There is still plenty of open...More

These wetlands are about 30km from Melbourne to the southeast (but still within the sprawling suburbs.) At first glance they are unprepossessing, being merely a swampy area.
