Fantastic beach, so very picturesque, lots of enjoyable beach bars. Very shallow waters into the sea. Great waves for surfing, lots of surfing places along the beach, I would highly recommend the 'school' near the Rainbow Beach as they can offer not only surfing but numerous well priced tours. The beach is very clean & whilst there are places for shelter its a very open beach. A number of opportunities for boat trips out to the lighthouse & 'secret island', which is also actually peninsula.

Moragalla beach is located just opposite the Bentota panhandle at the estuary of Bentota River. A picturesque and relatively secluded beach. Can get here from Aluthgama or Beruwala. Recommended. Protect and conserve.

The beach is flat and nice. However, it is close to the river which brings substantial waste water. Much prefer Bentota one.

This beach is situated near the Cinnamon Bey hotel. When we were there in October 2017, We just walked on the beach after sunrise as most of the beaches in the area had red flags which indicated they were not safe for swimming.

This beach is good for walking if staying nearby - if they clean it up. Not good for swimming, rough sea. There is a pool like place at the far end, but water is murky. Go elsewhere for the beach experience, if you can.

dirty beach, too many people trying to sell you anything, not suitable for beaching , dirty green-ish water because of the river, not good

We had all experiences beach wise in Sri Lanka. Aluthgama beach was magnificent with wonderful big waves and very few people. Moragalla beach is a bit busier but has very gentle waves and safe swimming perfect for out little grand child. There are also a few beach side cafes where you can get a lounger and umbrella in return for a drink and a meal.

There is a few small restaurants along the beach but it isn’t much people. Lovely place to stress down and relax in the sun.

The beach is beautiful, the ocean powerful, and sunset - absolutely stunning! I visited slightly off season, when the beach is said to be a bit narrow than usual - you will love it

If you're looking for genuine Batik art, this is the place. Handmade one of a kind Batik art on cotton fabrics.
Each piece has its own story. Noble (the artist) is happy to tell his stories behind his art and show you how they are made.
These are not cheap mass-produced prints you find everywhere along the beach and in shops. They are hand drawn and hand dyed, each taking a week or more to make.
If you are looking for quality and something unique, visit Noble. Be prepared to pay more for his work, but it's worth it.
Look for the signs on the beach and walk about 200 meters to see his collection. The path is next to Minkem Gems.
I have not attached pictures of his work as Noble worries about people stealing his designs and copyright problems.

In my opinion Sri Lanka it isn't good for camping.
