We recently moved to town from the Northern Minnesota Backwoods and were missing the outdoors. While it wasn't the Chippawaa, the kids had a blast and enjoyed learning about granite mines.

I've always loved this park but it's a gem really only locals can appreciate because of the cost. If you live in the St Cloud area, it is worth buying a annual pass but if you're not from the area, it is spendy to visit unless you have a group. This is a county park; the only one I know... More

Never been to the Quarry Park before we decided to take our Arizona friends there for our first visit. The leaves were beautiful and so many trails to walk on. Wonderful sights with all the granite and stones. The quarries are a wonderful place for fishing and swimming. Wonderful time there and hope to go back in the summer time.

This is a place you definitely need to check out. If you plan on going more than 4 times, buy a season parking pass, as it will cost you $5 to park per visit. Very family and kid friendly, no alcohol or smoking allowed (although a cold beer would be nice to have while here). The cliffs are great to... More

It cost 5.00 to go to this amazing place . Bring Bug spay with Deet ! We bought our dog and it was fine . We went to both of the quarry swimming holes . One is more for younger kids but its also has cliff to jump off into the quarry and a dock . The beach is sandy... More

This park encompasses about a dozen abandoned small granite quarries, most filled with water. There is a swim beach at one, scuba allowed at another, and fishing allowed at several. You walk through the lush woods to find the quarries, some of which have old quarrying equipment around them with explanations of how it was used. A beautiful place for... More

Jumping off the granite walls is outstanding. What a great day trip to swim at this place. Based on what I see, there are probably different crowds at different times of the day. We were there on a Sunday evening and it was loaded with young people and sometimes the language that comes with it. (not a big deal, just... More

We came here on a cold, May Saturday and it was still nice to walk around. It was quiet; we pretty much had the place to ourselves. They allow swimming in the quarries (it was too cold for us to try that) as well as fishing in some of the others.

Amazing walking paths through former granite quarries. Amazing swimming off of rocks. Very well maintained. Liberty Derrick puts you back in time. Make sure and walk up steps to top of slag pile. Out of town folks take note. This is a little tough to find but if you like to walk you win't forget this place.
