We have visited Gooseberry several times, but never in the winter. The waterfalls were frozen with some water still passing through. We got some great pictures.

great park for winter hiking. Be careful of icy steps. Do not venture out on the ice. No need to DIE on vacation

It was very snowy but still a very cool place to explore. The stairs to the falls were very slippery but the handrail helps. I would recommend snowshoes or ice trackers for your shoes.

All of the trails are open. But they are not plowed. A lot of people go, so the snow is pretty well packed down. For that reason, it can get slippery on the stairs. The accessibility ramps were a bit easier to walk... More

It looks like you can buy a one day permit for $5.00 or a year long permit for all 75 parks for $25.00. when we went I didn't know that, drove in, enjoyed the park and left. I didn't see any signs, but found the fees on the... More
