Really beutiful hikes etc. But its also too busy with crazy kids for my tastes. Still totally worth checking out as well as the other parks in this area. I also don't like how Minnesota runs their camping reservations. I can't plan that far in advance and it surprises me that so many others can

I found this motel on the internet and thought it looked like a nice place. I am so glad I found it! The desk clerk, Joseph, was friendly and helpful when I called on my cell, from a few miles away, to inquire about a room. We got a first floor room, very clean with a nice little sitting area... Gooseberry Falls is one of the prettiest of Minnesota's State Parks and is appropriate place for people with limited mobility. People using walkers can take the paved paths that lead to the Upper and Lower Falls. The pleasant visitor center also has wheelchairs to lend, but you need a strong person to push as the paths have a slope. There... More

We have visited Gooseberry several times, but never in the winter. The waterfalls were frozen with some water still passing through. We got some great pictures.

We have been to Gooseberry in the summer and fall, but never in the winter. Always looking for new places to winter hike and we decided to try Gooseberry Falls. It was amazing! The ice formations, the water, the juxtaposition of the water on the ice formations was beautiful. It was pretty icy on the trails, but we had cleats... More

Amazing place to visit. Great for hiking and photos and enjoying nature! Good gift shop too! Some interesting tree roots on the way to upper falls! Never seen a root and then air! Some thought that was as neat as the falls! Cant wait to go back!

I went here with my family and it was a lot of fun. The sites were absolutely beautiful and well worth the little amount of walking. Sadly we could not go as far as we hope to have gone because there was ice on the ground. I will defiantly recommend this to all people especially out door lovers. I know... More

We hiked the falls with a visitor from Spain. We spent the whole day hiking the area, and there is so much to see. The trails are beautiful, and they take you all the way out to Lake Superior. I hadn't been to Gooseberry since I was a teen, and it was far more breathtaking than I remember.

great park for winter hiking. Be careful of icy steps. Do not venture out on the ice. No need to DIE on vacation
