The part of the park we were at was extremely busy(there are two entrances to this park). It could have been because it was Labor Day weekend. The parking lot was full at times we were there and people were still looking for parking spots....More

Interstate State Park in Taylors Falls, MN is a great geological history lesson for all ages. Basalt rock resulting from ancient volcanoes compromised by melts from the Glacial Age resulted in amazing rock formations and potholes along the St. Croix river dividing Minnesota and Wisconsin....More

About an hours' drive from the Twin Cities area. Good for rock climbing, a couple of short hiking trails, and exploring glacial potholes.

This was a great afternoon trip with teenagers. Very interesting and lots of climbing, up very well marked paths and steps. Hand rails for safety and help up and down the stone steps. Pot holes were fascinating.

This park is absolutely amazing! Had a great time walking the trails and climbing on the rock formations. The views on the cliffs are awesome. We visited the park twice on our vacation, because our teenage boys loved climbing the rock formations.

Called with family for a short visit (couple of hours) and loved the rock formations, in particular the glacial potholes. Stunning views of the river in the gorge can be seen best if you're happy to do a little scrambling, fairly easy for most people....More

Yes. The trail right outside the visitor center should be okay for her. My Mom is 67 and did all the trails. Even a bit of rock climbing (bouldering) too!
