Nice trail. Lots of steps, about 400 total so beware. Worth the effort and takes about 2 hours round trip to see the High Falls.

My wife and I visited this past Saturday, arriving midday. We bought our day pass for $7. It was a beautiful day - perfect hiking weather with good temp, bright sun, and slight breeze. We saw and really enjoyed the falls and the beautiful scenery...More

The park is absolutely gorgeous and the falls are with the hike. Apparently the hike can be done in heels (observation only) but I would not recommend it. You will be hiking on trails and stairs. Everything is well maintained so it’s not a bad...More

Trails were well-kept, stairs on steeper areas, many trails to explore. We went in early morning and were the only ones on the trail to Cascade Falls. Explored the rocky beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful in giving information. Enjoyed resting by the double-sided...More

Hiked to shovel point for a great view of Lake Superior. We also hiked to the High Falls. There are many stair steps. The trail was icy but we used our snow cleats (YAK TRAKS) and were fine.

I hike in this park at least a couple times a year. It brings back great family memories and there are many trails to conquer.
