Went there on a weekday in May and the houses were not open yet. Walked around and spent over an hour there. The scenery with the houses was good and would recommend paying the fee to do the houses (when it is open). Still enjoyed...More

This place is a true walk back in history from the 1850s to the 1890s. There are farms and house from different time periods in the 1800's and on some weekends there are people dressed up from the time period. Defiantly for history lovers!!!

The people at the landing were very knowledgeable. The people at the landing were actually cooking reAl food on old fashion stoves. They all played their parts very were. I loved the Wild West show and gun fights.

Every time I'm in Minnesota I'm amazed how many people I encounter who don't know about this place - literally a walk through history. After you pay the small fee to get in, you get on a horse-drawn wagon that takes you to a cabin...More
