We were fortunate to attend the Neil Diamond Concert in one of the suites at the Excel Energy Center tonight. Security was definitely present tonight, there is a safe feeling about that but bad things happen. The Suite experience was so much fun. It could accommodate 20 people. We had a nice view of the concert. The staff were very... More

Great place to see a game or concert. The staff is friendly and helpful. Some decent food choices although a bit expensive. I like sitting at the ends of arena for games but, all views ar good. Upper rows for 114 not great for concerts unless the stage is in the center.

This is really a nice venue for sports or music. I have been here a few times and have been impressed. Great downtown location with easy access by car or light rail. Many hotels and eating spots in the vicinity. Attended a Hall and Oates concert and the acoustics were very nice. Some indoor sports facilities sound poor. The Xcel... More

I was there back when it was called the St. Paul Civic Center and saw Elvis perform there in 1973. I was just a kid but I remember it. Lately we have seen Def Leppard and most recently Trans Siberian Orchestra (TSO) there. TSO was an incredible show and we had good seats.

Went to Wild hockey playoff game and the arena is so nice. Staff was very friendly and arena is very warm and cozy. I didn't think the game day experience was as good as a game in St. Louis, but the facility is awesome.

There is not a bad seat at Xcel Energy Center if your seeing a concert or hockey game. The acoustics are amazing, stare if the art facility now if only the Wild could win a Stanley Cup.

Great venue Easy to find your way around, go in the entrance closest your section instead of trying to walk around inside because it does get busy

Clean, friendly place. Lots of spots to grab a drink, alcohol is readily available, along with super little "Hawaiian" themed kiosk that sells delicious smoothies. Ample bathrooms. Have seen John Mayer, Dave Mathews....park early and eat at one of the many nice restaurants. Fun time!

Cool setting for the arena, and prices for the gift show and concessions were reasonable for NHL standards. The place is big and makes the concourse very crowded and extremely long lines for the restrooms. But overall fun place for a game.
