See trains and life before the 70s. Trains and more for the kids to see. It's an indoor activity for winter, but plenty to see outside in summer. Looking for something to do with the little that you'll love too? This is it

My wife and I attended the Jackson Street Roundhouse on the evening of 04/01/2017 to eat dinner in the Great Northern dining car and to see the play "The Ghost Train" by Arnold Ridley. In my opinion, the dinner (Champagne Chicken, butterflied shrimp, garlic mashed...More

If you are a train-buff, this is a nice place to visit. Many original items to look at. If you go with a train-buff, grab a bench, read a book and relax.

This museum has a working, full size engine and caboose which you can take for a short ride. Also has a working blacksmith shop where they make the parts they need to repair their trains. A great and cheap place to visit.

This transportation museum offers walk-through self guided tours into historic train cars. The employees are amazing, and provide a great amount of information regarding old steam engines. It is very kid friendly. They also have a small play area for younger children.

We went on a Wednesday and they only do train rides on Saturday, so we had to do a light rail ride downtown afterwards, which was convenient. Not cheap to see the museum, but the docents are informative, helpful and obviously like kids. We got...More

There are many to scale displays of working train displays in the old Roundhouse. The volunteers are well versed in the train information. Some of them are retired railroad conductors and engineers. It is a lot fun and a great place for all ages.

We did a local beer and history event here. We hadn't known this place was here. It's good if you like trains. They have a ways to go for improving it.

I don't recall handicapped parking, but there is a handicapped ramp. So I would assume there is handicapped parking as well. Park close to the ramp as some areas of the outer parking lot were rough. Enjoy, it is a fun... More
